Sad to hear your story. Like you I had my sweet girl in the vet on IVs for days and was told my baby would be fine. So much so that they sent her home with me to be regularly hydrated under the skin. I was told she would do well if I did this. Bless her heart, in her brief good moments, she would try to eat to please me and then throw up. We would hydrate her and at first for about an hour she would seem ok, but then would sink back into a seriously ill baby. We tried this regimen until the good times were so short and she was so sick that there was no hope for a positive prognosis and good life. We felt we could no longer put her through this. It was so sad and hard to make this decision and we mourned her for ever. I never wanted to have another pet and have her or him go through this again. But after a couple of years life became impossible without a Yorkie in the home, so we got our little boy. A totally different personality but so loved. But there are more positive outcomes posted here, so praying JC will be one of them
