I am so very sorry to hear such bad news. My girl was 17 years old she was eating, drinking, pottying fine, then one day she just stopped eating. I rushed her to the vet where they kept her for 7 days on IV. Everyday I went to see her she lost more and more weight, but the vet and techs assured me she was coming home. On day 7 I received a early morning call from the vet, I had to come in and say my good byes. I was devastated beyond words. She told me her organs were shutting down, there was nothing more they could do for her. I went and held her in my arms for the last time ,I whispered in her ear momma's good girl and kissed her, held her tight against me while the tech injected her and ended her pain. 3 years later I still cry for her and cried just writing this.
Listen to your vet, if there is hope and a chance for him to have quality of life your vet will let you know. I know the pain you are in, the love you have for your little boy and how hard it is to think you may have to let him go. You will do what is best for little JC. (((HUGS)))
