The Mayo Clinic released these instructions for treating puncture wounds just a couple of weeks ago: Puncture wounds: First aid - Mayo Clinic
They recommend antibiotic ointments like Neosporin. HOWEVER, they do have the following caution: |  germs on the dogs tooth can be scraped into and left behind in the wound.
