So Winston (13 years old) caught kennel cough while being treated for acute kidney failure from being treated for congestive heart failure. He's currently getting fluid hydration and Science Diet KD food, which has improved his kidney function tremendously. But the cough is bad...his vet added Torbutrol today. Any experience from my Yorkie loving friends? It seems like the more we do to help him the worse he gets...poor little guy. Is it ok to suppress the cough? I just want him to be happy and comfortable. Suggestions? Thanks in advance....a prayer or two would be nice as well.
