Hi There,
Sorry to hear of the problem you have with your new dog and how it is affecting Gracie. I am no expert like so many on here are but this is what I feel I would do if I had the same situation. Gracie would always be my top priority and I would let her know that she is still number one in my eyes. She must be feeling some things that are making her unhappy with this new situation in her life now. I know your new dog needs to feel love and secure with you as well since she has had so many bad experiences with other owners. As was said it is a good idea to give them attention one on one separately in play time and even walking time. It is also good to pet them with one on each side as you are doing. Showing them that both are the object of your affection. I hope things turn out better for you all. It no doubt will take time and even training as was mentioned but it will be good to get them both on an even keel with each other and you too. Best wishes.
