All of Cali's training classes have been mixed sizes, and she was always the smallest. Dogs were always kept under control and did not fraternize with each other. We started our first training at a Petsmart and a lot of the exercises were out in the store also.

I think the operative words here are - all dogs had to be kept under the handlers control at all times. When you start out almost none of the dogs are totally under control until they learn that part. I was always protective of my dog
