Oh dear that would be beyond cruel! Ours says "conforms to and meets the Transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2, Filters for direct observation of the sun."
A TV station and eye doctors are giving them away. Even has the manufacturers name address and telephone.
They are giving them away to schools !!
