I would not be concerned about the anesthesia and the MRI--those are both noninvasive procedures, and providing they do the bloodwork to make sure that Minnie doesn't have a bad reaction to the anesthesia, it should be safe.
Collection of cerebrospinal fluid (spinal tap) involves sticking a needle into the spinal column to collect fluid. That would make me a little more nervous, but they say that it's a fairly safe procedure. Here's a link to a description of the procedure:

These tests (especially the MRI) are likely to be expensive, but if cost is not an issue, I would have it done.
As others have mentioned, I'd be sure to have the blood work needed to rule out liver issues done first.
