Please,please,please...never hit your puppy. Besides ruining your relationship and derailing your training efforts...you could hurt him in a fit of anger. I once had a golden retriever that was hit often while training and she would squint and cower everytime you tried to pet her. It was really sad. Count to ten the next time you lose control.
