that is a good idea.i was having trouble with my pups going in the bed (their bed) and peeing in it. so i just put a pee pad in it and presto ...it worked. they have several beds so it is not like this one is for sleeping in. now they go to the pad most of the time. i think it is the stepping into something that helped.
