How much was that? I can't really tell if this dog is just a chihuahua x dachshund, or if she's a russian toy terrier with something else mixed in or just purebred russian toy terrier...
She does look like the latter now to me. (atleast some of the examples I've seen of the russian toy terrier look like it).
I kind of want her to be the former, because it says russian toys tend to have a lifespan of 11-12 years...
This is what the long coat version of them looks like.

The only difference between my dog and that dog is my dog has her ears droop down -- well droop to the side. (she has very weird dog ears to me yet cute). and the ears are much shorter than that(not the hair- though the ear hair is a bit shorter as well).
She looks slightly more like this one in coat and ear terms

and if you notice the tufts of white fur on her hind legs (kind of look like streamers on a bicycle)
She has the same tail length(on that last photo you see the tail tucked, but its almost as long as the leg-- thats how long her tail is)
But it has me confused. In one sense i find the russian toy breed fascinating and beautiful on the other hand I would love my dog to live a longer life. I mean in the end nothing I can do about that as it's all genetics but one can dream.
Also, if you know the genes you can better know what illness afflicts that specific breed the most (so you know where to be more cautious).
