Even if you find a breeder with smaller parents that is no guarantee that the puppies will end up small. Just like people and family lines, where we've all met someone who doesn't look like the rest of the kids or their parents, puppies can get genetic traits from generations past including larger size. The bottom line, find a good breeder with good references with healthy puppies and a good guarantee, meet the parents, do the temperament testing, follow up with your own vet check, and love the puppy you get. Yorkies are really cute AND require a lot of knowledgeable care (just read all the threads in the forum), require excellent vet support, and all the training to turn a little pup into a great dog. They also require more grooming daily than the average mutt! It's good you recognized the "teacup" scammers and are on the track to find a reputable breeder. Read the articles in the previous post.
