Buddybear gets jerky when we start out in the car, just very tiny pieces to distract him for maybe 5 minutes which seems to help.

She could still be missing her kitty friend and not quite know what to do with such an exuberant pup.
The bath situation requires patience but snapping should not be tolerated. She needs to learn you are the alpha leader and if necessary pin her down firmly like her mommy would do.
