My boy rarely vomits and when he did it was in the living room on the carpet, his head went down, ears plastered against his head like he did something really bad. I have to assume he was reprimanded by prev. owner when he did this with them. I have him 3 years and I guess he still remembers be scolded. I pet him and tell him it's ok, they can't help it when this happens.
Never spray a dog with water for vomiting, all it will do is instill fear in the dog and cause confusion. If you do not want carpeting soiled gate it off so the dogs cannot get in that room.
