SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Sentencing is scheduled Tuesday for a San Diego couple arrested after more than 170 Yorkshire terrier and Yorkie-mix dogs were found in filthy conditions in their home and other locations.
Mark Vattimo, 72, and Christine Calvert, 62, of Poway, pleaded guilty last month to felony animal abuse charges. As part of their plea agreement, the defendants will be placed on probation and won't face additional custody, but will have to undergo counseling, will not be allowed to own any pets and will transfer title of a 31-foot motorhome to the Humane Society as restitution in the case. |
I read some of the updates and I actually audibly dropped an F bomb before disgusting. Those spineless wormy little weasels. I hope they get more of what they deserve. I despise people who treat helpless animals like this. JUST like infants and small children, they cannot defend themselves. It's worse in some ways, because they can't SPEAK for themselves, either.
