Sadly, there is a lot of denial. Then, there is also the issue of proof....when you report these people one of the first things you are asked is if you have "first hand information". It is extremely frustrating. Here in Texas if they cannot see it they cannot do anything about it. I have reported one place to just about every agency known to man...everyone knows it is a hell hole on earth for animals but nothing is ever done. It is a large property...over 60 acres and the owner doesn't let anyone enter....so no proof. Even his admitting in emails he has hundreds of animals is not enough. Hundreds of animals with a vet bill one year of around $4,000 ... mind blowing. I have spent that much on one surgery for one pup.
I hate, hate, hate that animals have almost no rights.
