Litter mates are the best! Of course we got our litter mates at the same time. I got a boy and my daughter got a girl. We raised them together and they had so much fun. They may not recognize each other as it has been several months and they were little, but they might jump right in and start playing.

Mine were together until they were 15 months old and then my daughter moved out with hers and to another state. When they see each other they just run to each other and tackle each other! It is so much fun. It has been almost a year since my daughter moved and they see each other every few months.

I also have an 11 1/2 year old Yorkie that I took in 5 months before we got the puppies and yesterday I brought home a 6 year old that would have gone to the shelter if I didn't take her. She is fitting in like she has always been here.

Good luck and I would get him his own space but also let them be together when they want. You will have so much fun with 2. I told my husband if we were to get a puppy again I would get 2 because 2 is way more fun than 1!
