The breeder should be able to give you some idea of how big they will get. Most people also want to see the parents or at least the mom. That should give you some idea.

If you're buying for a pet, you're requirements are probably not as particular as they would be if you were buying for breeding stock.

It is just as important to research the breeder as it is to research the dog.
