I have had a few pups with CT. Each of them had a different protocol....in my opinion you really just have to play with different meds to find what works best. Other things to do is to reduce stress in the environment, keep the pup cool, avoid strenuous exercise and keep weight down. There is a med that might help and it would not cause issues with her kidneys.....Lomotil. It sounded weird to me when my vet first suggested it because it is an anti diarrheal. If your vet has not heard about using it, tell him he can find a section about it in Kirk's Vet Manual. It worked for one of my pups and also one of a friend's pups.
