I can't STRESS enough, PLEASE supervise your pets when they're outside, don't leave them alone for even a second. Especially if hawks & other predatory birds & coyotes have been spotted in your area.
We have coyotes here & I've encountered one just down the street from us. I never let them go out to the backyard alone.
