I'm not a breeder so I can't help with the parents but as far as the puppy, that is exactly what happened with my Gus. The breeder's vet did not pick up any murmur but when I brought him to mine they found a grade 1 murmur. They told me not to worry, that it could be from stress or that it could disappear on its own - it is known as an innocent murmur that puppies and children grow out of.
We went back two weeks later and he was fine. I have my vets listen carefully every visit and they all say he has a strong, healthy heart.

Since her vet seems as unconcerned as mine was, it may very well be nothing to worry about.
