Perhaps, but our other dog had Giardia, and with only medication, it did not clear
the parasite the first time around. Second round we included the DE, and the parasite died. So with Cody, we included it right away to avoid a second round of Meds.
Again, it should up to the individual. We only used it to clear the parasite, beyond that, we do not use it.
