Hello,

Here is the breakdown of what's going on right now with my yorkie named Mickey.

We recently moved into a new home. I was very nervous about this move for little Mickey. He is prone to anxiety and does not do well in new environments. Since he got here last night, he has been anxious and whiny. When my mom is around he's ok. I guess he just doesn't feel safe without her in his sight but it makes me sad, because I'm right there next to him

This morning, we both took Mickey out for a walk so that he could do his business. We don't have grass yet, so he has to walk around in the weeds in our unfinished neighborhood. He is peeing just fine. However when he pooped, it was a little loose, and I thought I saw a black patch on it. This made me very nervous. I'm not able to get a photo of the stool because this was over two hours ago and this stool changed color.

About 20 minutes ago, I found another loose stool on our new carpet (which is bad!!! If my dad had seen it before I did that would have been bad news). I took it into the bathroom to check it out closely. The "black" patch on his first and second stool is actually a very very dark brown patch. This stool also had a very strong and foul smell. I couldn't take a picture because I didn't have my phone on me, and I didn't want my dad to see his poop sitting on the bathroom counter.

I feel like this is diarrhea. Can it be caused by stress and nervousness?

Has this happened to anyone else?

Here's a better description of his stools: a normal brown color with a dark brown patch on a portion of it. I don't think it's mucous. His stool is loose but still has form. It is not watery.

Edit: I forgot to mention his behavior. He is behaving well. He is just anxious when not around my mom. He was never potty trained either, which is why he pooped on the carpet. It happened a lot at our old house. In the new house however my dad would be very mad if he saw it happen.
