she was given 12.5 mg. she's now 6 pounds. She's too high strung, and while Promethazine is an option for a lot of dogs, the doc given her history (drooling, GI upsets, screaming, keening) from stress, we felt it prudent to NOT give her a drug that would keep her high strung but sedated. Besides, I don't consider trazadone a heavy psych med, but, you're speaking to a person who has a son that is severely what his dx is, that he took thorazine and it was hundreds of mg when he was only 6, so, perhaps my thinking is skewed. |
