Puppies take a lot of work so yes it can be like having a human baby. Make sure your breeder is keeping the pups until at least 12 weeks. All my yorkies have been crated at night it is much safer for them. The crate needs to be in your bedroom where they can see you from the crate it is not fair to leave them alone in another room when they were just taken from there mom and siblings. Sometimes it can take about two weeks to get them used to it so you might not get a lot of sleep. Training to do both outside and potty pads can be confusing for them. I used to prefer females but last spring I got my first boy and he is a huge cuddle bug and the sweetest thing ever.
