I'm not sure how young is to young but here's a safety tip. Be sure to train your little one on how to get out of the pool. Make sure he knows how to get to the steps from anywhere in the pool. In the event that he falls in when know one is looking, training him on how to get out could save his life.

I basically put my dog in at different places in the pool. Than I go to where the steps are and call her and let her climb out on her own. I do this from many different angles in the pool. I want to always make sure she knows where the steps are no matter where she jumps in the pool from.
