That's what I thought Lacy's Mom. My problem is pet sitter. I don't have anyone to leave him with when we go out on the boat and I am terrified of leaving him alone in a cage all day. Also, you mentioned pool safety. We paid for a trainer to come (mostly for house training) and she mentioned how she trains dogs to be able to get out of the swimming pool in case they fall... They say the cause for dogs drowning is not that they can't swim but they can't find the steps to get out and eventually get too tired and drown. She teaches them with a long leach. Makes them swim while holding the leach and guides them over and over and over to the steps so they learn to memorize where the steps are. I plan to do that with Cody.
