I *believe* that the only difference is that "chicken meal" is dehydrated, and therefore has less water in it than "chicken." Here is an article about it: https://blueseal.com/tech-talks/chic...e-differences/

If what this article says is true, there's not really any significant difference as far as quality. I'll try to find some other articles that confirm this.
