Hi Everyone,

I’m new to this forum and looking for a little guidance. I am not a dog owner, but am in a place in my life now where I feel I can finally be one! I’ve been doing research on different types of dog breeds for months now and just can’t make up my mind. I have always thought that Yorkies were adorable little dogs, but I'm not sure if one is right for my situation.

I’m in my early 20s and am a working professional. I work 8 hours a day, but I’m lucky enough to live 10 minutes from where I work so I come home every day for lunch. I’m looking for a breed that would be okay with a little alone time during the day (with lots of love at night) and would eventually be accepting of children and potentially another dog. With your experience with your Yorkies do you think that we would be a good match?
