Default We lost our little girl today

We had to say goodbye to our 8 year old yorkie Daisy today. She has always had some issues with her breathing/trachea that we've been able to manage over the years with pretty minimal medications from time to time but a month ago she got so sick and struggling to breathe. Rushed her to the vet and she had pneumonia and they discovered a buola in her lungs. We have been taking her for multiple appointments to come up with a treatment plan for her and decided to try surgery after meeting with a specialist about an hour away from us at an amazing animal hospital. She had her surgery Wednesday and was doing well at the hospital in recovery and this morning was the day she was supposed to come home. Last night she took a turn for the worst she couldn't oxygenate and her blood sugar levels dropped. They called this morning and told us they had her sedated and we should come because it wasn't looking good for her. 20 minutes into our drive they called and said her heart stopped on its own. We went to say goodbye and I got to hold my poor sweet girl for the last time. I am devasted. We really were hopeful we could help her and get more time I just can't believe she is gone. RIP sweet girl.
