Here in Scotland (UK) my Vet advised me not to let my pup have dry, hard kibble for at least 2 weeks.
He was also given painkillers which I only had to use once the day after his surgery but he was provided with a course of antibiotics for nearly 10 days as standard practice as a precaution to infection.
He is doing fine and fully recovered from his ordeal, he still steals items and growls when you try to take his precious ill gotten gains of him. He runs past us like a bullet out of a gun.
Typical Yorkshire Terrier descended from the now dormant Paisley Terrier, a hardy wee breed and cheeky with it!
