3 years ago Cody had a balloon inflated inside his Colon , when they pulled it out it was like his entire rectum was pulled out as well, it was all red, swollen, he was biting at himself, I called the vet, I was told to buy diaper rash cream. The first application shrunk it a lot, the red turned to pink. The 2nd application thank god he was back to normal. I would give the diaper cream a try.
