My second Yorkie started out with a life vest at a K9 Aquatics swimming center in town, and she seems to love it time after time. I'm sure there are Yorkies who love swimming without a vest, but I figure why not? They're not terribly expensive or difficult to put on. It gives them a little extra support and makes the experience a little less traumatic.

I figure it's like coats and booties in the winter. They don't absolutely have to have them when it's 20 degrees out to avoid frostbite, but they want to stay out longer when they're comfortable.

It's safer, they're more comfortable. Why not?

That's what I was thinking. I know Joey likes water but I don't know if my youngest Penny does or not so I'm wondering if I should buy two or since they are the same size let them share until I know if she likes the water or not.
