Default Is Male Yorkie Becoming Sexually Mature?

Fabian just turned five months this week, has not been neutered yet, and is acting "differently." He waits by our front door and back sliders for half an hour or more at a time, looking out at something we can't see. (Once in a while, it's a squirrel or chipmunk, but not usually.) He's eating well, but doesn't like being held, even nipping and biting with wild eyes where he hadn't before. In his own time, he climbs on our lap and seems to mope restlessly. At first, we thought the biting might be teething pain, but there's no increase in general gnawing and bully stick interest. He's also awake a lot earlier than usual, which is around the time we put in our window air conditioners. I guess we may know more if it stops/ slows in a few weeks. Other than continuing to distract him with toys and activity and getting him neutered later, what can we do to make him feel better? Closing all our windows in summer is not an option. We try to vary our walking routes, too, but can't see if that's making any difference.
