I think we all go through that at some point. With my first yorkie I was 19 and she was all mine meaning mom wasn't helping. She cried all night for awhile and I was so tired I drug her crate to the living room crying saying I couldn't do it any more. I felt better after crying and then that sweet little pup started licking my face. It's hard but ends up being worth it. Some dogs whine or bark a bit every time they are left but they normally stop when your gone.
