Default Giardia or Parvo causing illness

Hello,

I have a 13 week old little girl. We got her on June 3rd. A few days after we brought her home she started vomiting (2 times) and then started having diarrhea with lots of mucous (no fever). Took her to the vet ASAP and they gave her fluids and Cerenia. She bounced back ate happily that night and the next morning. Her stool came back positive for Giardia. Later the next day she started to turn down food again and had more diarrhea. Took her back to the vet and they did an x-ray to rule out an obstruction and her tummy was extremely swollen. I took her to the animal hospital right away and they asked about Parvovirus. I said she had just had her 2 round of vaccinations 5 days ago and I understood it would show a positive which they dismissed as not true. A little while later they come and tell she has Parvo and is being admitted for at least 3-4 days. They tell me their test knows the difference between vaccine virus and actual virus. Her blood sugar was really low but her CBC was fine. Only other issue on her labs were here electrolytes were off. Later the night I check in and she perked up after dextrose drip and was eating. She gets discharged the very next day. Now we are treating her for the giardia but we seem to have a really good day with normal stools followed by a day with a normal bowel movement and then lots and lots of mucous stool. Today it had a tinge of blood in it. Is it normal for Giardia to wax and wane even with Metronidazole being administered? On the days she has the mucous she is eating but not has happily as she does on the days when her stool is solid. I am just so confused as to whether or not she actually has parvo or if it is just the giardia sticking it to her. She is a little thing at 2lbs. Also worried about some other kind of issue like inflammatory bowel disease. The did do an ultra sound at the hospital as well and there was nothing of note on it besides the swollen belly.
