If you plan on breeding more goes into it then just a dog with papers. A puppy you buy might not even be a good candidate for breeding when they grow up. If you truly love your female is it worth risking her life? You really should have a mentor and be following under them for months before even trying to breed. Any dog you breed should be a perfect example of the breed and that can be hard to find. Most breeders that have the lines that are worth continuing will not just let anyone breed there dogs. It's extremely important that you know the lines of the dogs your breeding very far back to make sure they are free of any illnesses. If your female ends up having a c-section she could reject the pups and then you could have to feed and stimulate them to go potty every 2 hours. There is so much more that can't even be put in a post. We have sooooo many dogs being euthanized that we really should save breeding for the reputable breeder.
