Default Older Yorkie question.

My morkie is still quite active but on some occasions when he runs his back legs seem to have a will of their own and start moving faster and to the right. It happens rather quickly and he recovers but stops running. There is never any sign of pain but sometimes it's like his back end is weaker than his front end. Sometimes when he tries to walk he thinks his back legs are working but the aren't and he falls over. He will do this several times in a row before I pick him up and he's shaking like he's having a mild seizure. I say that because he is shaking a little but ALL over. Holding him close and stroking him and talking to him for a few minutes then there is a big sigh and I can feel his whole body relax. Then I put him down and he's jumping and walking like a much younger dog again. Eats well and regular and happy to get a snack after these episodes on occasion.

Does this sound familiar to any of you? Thanks in advance.
