Yep, a puppy is a lot of work, but so worth it. And they have to be watched like a hawk because they get into everything just like a human toddler. Anything that falls on the floor will become his. In case you didn't know this, yorkies LOVE tissues, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, anything paper, they are little shredders lol.
Sorry cannot help you on the weight. All my now passed babies (4) weighed 9, 2 at 13 and my last girl tipped the scales at 17 pounds. My adopted boy weighs 12 pounds.
