Hello All. My yorkie will be 5 years old next month. He has suspected MVD. We decided not to do the biopsy because he would still have to be on lactulose and hepatic diet as well as denamarin. He has been doing extremely well since he was a puppy, but lately we have noticed he has a seizure about every month or so. I want to prolong the quality of his life and the veterinarian says his numbers and values are actually really good. Is there anything we can do to prevent the seizures? We give him Diazepam (Valium) immediately when the seizures begin to occur (as instructed by the veterinarian) but we want to really get him to the point where he no longer has them. The seizures usually last several minutes and immediately ends after he vomits bile. For those who are really good with understanding these diagnostics figures and can help me better care for him, ill include this info. Many thanks to the experienced Yorkie parents on this forum.
