Absolutely!!! This is VERY important. My husband finds Chewie's dominant personality "cute." This is a problem. Yesterday I asked him to take the hair out of her eyes- she's getting a groom like usual tomorrow. He did, and she bit him. Three times. Since he's such a big guy, he just laughs like it's funny. Consequently, she's being trained out of her resource guarding me or her lamb ears, or her habit of biting (correcting) when she doesn't like something.
She'll bite Husband, AND my daughter for touching me, hugging me, or going to take the chew if I have to get up. Those are just a few things of what is going on. She tried biting me once. That was it. I was quick to do what her trainer told me, and she hasn't tried since. If you don't show tough love, you'll have to deal with in home training sessions and some behavioral modification in earnest.
