I'm planning on possibly showing him later on and want the hair length. Also, if anyone's ideas involved methods that won't make him look like a girl, LOL! My husband defends his son's masculinity and won't let me use bows on his topknots LOL.
P.S. I'm scared to use clips on his hair out of fear that he will manage to take it off and start biting/choke on it. |
We use 1/4 in orthodontic elastics. We tried barrettes, clips, and bows and they all become chew toys. She feels anything with weight and wants them out. I learned to make bows with an elastic, which works when we want to be pretty.

It took time to teach our little girl to lay still to get her top knot in but now she's just a marvel. I watched a few videos online to see how others trained to get ideas. Thank goodness for online videos!!! She does not like the big grooming pillows. But it's a good idea to teach them to lay down and put so something under the chin to support their head. I use a rolled up dish towel. It's the last step in our daily grooming and takes about 30 seconds now that my hands have become more deft and she lays her tiny head down and is still. The better I got, the better she got.
