I have a little boy that has reactions so we give one shot at a time, he gets Benadryl before and then pain meds the day of and the day after. Parvo and distemper are very important they should get a combo shot of those 3 times as a puppy but not before 8 weeks old. Then they get a booster at 1 year old and then it's generally every 3 years after that. With rabies you have to go by your state law. Lyme, bordatella, and Lepto are considered non core and optional. I did Lyme because I'm in a heavy Lyme area and I saw lots of cases of Lyme popping up and not caught in time and essentially killing the dog. I don't do Lepto because it's not a super big thing here and I don't hike or go around bodies of water with them. I do bordatella because I take my dogs to a lot of dog events and I normally use a mobile groomer but have had to take them in a few times and most groomers require it. Vaccines are a good thing.
