Our little girl has long hair. We don't like Velcro as her hair can get stuck in the Velcro. If something has a zipper we like the zipper to have a flap under to keep hair out. When she was little she could wear sleeves, but now sleeves just tangle and mat her hair so quickly that we can't use them. I also think they keep her too warm now - even if it's chilly outside. She loves a ruffle! I don't know how she knows, but she just prances like a princess if there's a ruffle. Thumps up to the d-rings comment. And, yes, cost does matter. So we will often check sales and clearance first for an extra item or two to go with the "necessities" we likely pay full price for. Good luck with your boutique
