Really? That's an interesting take! I tend to leave the hairs on Scottie's paws for a long time too (just because I don't have time to trim them often). But, I did notice that the hairs on Casie's paws never seem to grow that long. I figure I'd check every so often and if it's too too long, I'd trim it eventually. She's turning two in October and I haven't trimmed the hair on her paws once because it never looks long to me. Is it because, as you say, the hair is wearing naturally? Pretty neat!
