Taylor- I had a post posted for you, but it disappeared! I'll retype: It was proheart, I see that it's dangerous and although they did not tell me until after how dangerous it was, I understand exactly why It was given in this instance. I wont' give it again, and she's being monitored very, very, closely. I hope that the drontal oral and this injection killed all of them- and, it looks that way, as her last BM turned up one dead one (the things you do for your kids and furkids, because I searched, heh) but the capstar was ordered because that's actually something that has been found to kill these guys. It's what is known as a firebomb method, from the information that the vet gave me after having to look it up herself, and coming back to admit it does happen, then printed out the article. I'll post it at the end of this post.

Thank you guys for letting me vent. I'm in shock, still, and, of course, frightened of the medications she was given. Husband is correct, she HAD to have this. Injection of anything already gives me pause, but, the oral one also made me very nervous. she's playing and eating just fine. My good friend from childhood is a vet tech, and she told me last year when she got hit up with the rabies and her vaccinations at the same time talked me out of a straight out panic attack telling me that these happen within hours,and what to look for. I also saw that the proheart shot was given the second or third time and that was when the really bad reactions happened. There won't be a second time.
