I saw on that first article that they can mimic gastroenteritis- which she's had QUITE a few bouts of. I'm glad I asked if this was a long term issue, because that would have been very upsetting! I know the cycle of maggots, though, because I found the practice of nurses on the battlefields putting them in wounds fascinating back when my plan was to be a PA. I still needed to ask. I'm now very glad I asked for capstar, because it looks like yes, re-infestation can occur- DH and I think giving it to her in a week would be a good plan.
