Default Insurance

Well perhaps with the deductible and copay, you might save by stopping insurance, but again who knows what the future brings?
I used to have Trupanion and they were good at the start and said they did not increase fees with the age of the dog. But like you, the increases got really high and that is when I stopped. I could not go elsewhere with the past cataract and mild pancreatitis. My vet has a self insure-like deal where for $99 per year I get two free vet visits and rebates for what I spend there. I can redeem for vet services like dentals, shots etc. so that is all I have now. But it is good.
Like all insurance, hope we never need it!
