Hey guys. I was in the old house finishing some stuff and this random shih tzu approached me. It was without its owner. I dont think I saw (or heard) a collar on it... When I came back to pick it up to see if I could find its owner(s) or bring it to a shelter (or vet) to get scanned... (if microchiped) it wasnt there...

I ended up calling the local police department (as that's where I got transferred when I tried to call the local animal control) and explained the situation. They took down my number and name... and where the dog was last seen.

So I decided to take my dog and walk her around for a last time, and when I go forward to a few houses down the road I noticed the shih tzu was out and about... Turns out someone left the door to their yard open..... carelessly.. and this is the same house with the bunch of kids (4-6-10y rs old) who tend to pet our dogs without even asking... SO I assume it might be the owners' house.

I left the dog alone as it showed signs of aggression... (It followed us and tried to bite my dog- which for once she was terrified).

Not sure if the dog was intact or not, I dont remember looking at it that much. However I do know it was staying around the front yard.

To be honest, I hope the officer got to it first so they can look into it...
