| Should I Go Higher in Protein? Since JB has been diagnosed with a grade 3 murmur, much information I have came across states that a higher protein diet could be beneficial. I am unsure of this since I was always told that protein diets for yorkies around 24-28% is the standard (although JB is a Biewer Terrier).
I am also a grain-free freak (just my personal preference) since it has worked well for both of my furkids. I currently feed a salmon dry kibble with pea protein (which is around a 4-4.5 star rated food on Foodadvisor) with 24% crude protein.
Just curious as to what you guys think and if higher protein would do any good or just let it be. Also if keeping them on a fish-based diet is ok (no meat). The only meat they get is an organic Turkey & Sweet Potato crunchy treat once a day.
